East Osceola & Osceola: Peaks No. 38 & 39

Today was not the best of days. The death of one of the hikers rescued off of Franconia Ridge made this blue bird day a bit somber. My original plans was to do Owls Head but to be honest I didn't really feel like being on the trail for 16-17 miles. My body was willing but my spirit wasn't so I went for East Osceola and Osceola instead, a hike less than eight miles. It was good to get out into the woods but I'm sure you'll understand when I tell you it was not the most celebrated day. Tonight and tomorrow it will snow some more and we'll be out of commission until Thursday. That's it for now.
